- Design and develop Press Tools, Jigs, and Fixtures according to production requirements.
- Prepare detailed 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D CAD models using AutoCAD and standard 3D design software.
- Perform design calculations, material selection, and tolerance analysis for tooling components.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to troubleshoot design-related tooling issues on the shop floor.
- Modify and optimize existing tool designs to improve manufacturing efficiency and tool life.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling tools (e.g., Creo, SolidWorks, or NX).
- In-depth understanding of press tooling operations (blanking, piercing, bending, progressive tools).
- Expertise in designing welding, assembly, or machining Jigs & Fixtures.
- Robust knowledge of GD&T;, tool materials, and heat treatment processes.
