Role descriptions / Expectations from the Role

1 Design, install and configure internal and customer facing servers

2 Proactively manage and maintain and monitor Server

3 Administer and support core Microsoft Windows Servers of different flavor i.e. 2008, 2012, 2016,2019

4 Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans

5 Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment

6 Define and document best practices and support procedures

7 Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend maintenance

8 Assist with hardware and software vendor evaluation, recommendation and negotiations

9 Interact with customers and staff at the technical level, as required.

10 Knowledge of AD, DC, DNS, DHCP, GPO





11 Knowledge over VMWare Infrastructure

12 Good to have Additional Knowledge of Basic Network infrastructure

13 Hyper-V (VMware, KVM hypervisor exposure).

14 Identity Management (Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft Identity Manager/FIM)

- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server /desktop Operating Systems
- Advance Knowledge of VMWare Infrastructure.
- Managing more than 50 Windows Server infrastructures
- Managing deployments/rollouts
- Experience installing, configuring, patching, upgrading, monitoring and maintaining Windows Servers
- Experience configuring and maintaining an Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and NTFS/Sharing permissions
- Group Policy design and configuration
- Microsoft IIS administration and configuration
- Solid communication and documentation skills
