We are looking for a CATIA V5 Design Engineer with solid experience in 3D routing, automotive wiring harness design, and connector design. The candidate will be responsible for developing and modifying 3D harness layouts, routing paths, connector arrangements, and related engineering documentation for automotive applications.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and develop automotive wiring harnesses and 3D routing layouts using CATIA V5.
- Perform 3D harness routing, packaging, and installation based on vehicle architecture and available packaging space.
- Design and modify connectors, connector mounting arrangements, clips, brackets, and harness supports.
- Develop and modify 3D models, assemblies, and installation layouts.
- Ensure proper routing with respect to clearance, bend radius, accessibility, serviceability, and manufacturability.
- Review harness routing and connector positioning at the vehicle level.
- Create and maintain 2D drawings, engineering drawings, BOMs, and design documentation.
- Support design modifications, engineering changes, and resolution of routing/design issues.
- Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, Packaging, Manufacturing, and Supplier teams for design integration.




- Follow customer/OEM standards and automotive design guidelines.
- Support design reviews and validation activities related to harness routing and connector integration.

Mandatory Skills:

- Strong hands-on experience in CATIA V5.
- Strong experience in 3D Routing / Harness Routing.
- Experience in automotive wiring harness design.
- Hands-on experience in connector design and connector packaging.
- Experience in 3D modeling, assemblies, and 2D drawings.
- Good understanding of vehicle packaging and harness installation.
- Knowledge of clips, brackets, fasteners, grommets, and harness mounting arrangements.
- Understanding of BOMs and engineering design documentation.

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with CATIA V5 Electrical Harness Installation / Electrical Harness Assembly workbenches.
- Experience in connector integration and routing at vehicle level.
- Exposure to Teamcenter, Windchill, or other PLM tools.
- Knowledge of GD&T; and basic automotive design standards.
- Exposure to EV or ICE vehicle development projects.
- Experience working with OEM or Tier-1 automotive projects.
