Web Director, Digital Experience

We're looking for a proven Web Director to own the strategic direction, performance, and evolution of Qualys.com as a revenue-driving engine. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll set the roadmap, define what success looks like, and work directly with our web development team and cross-functional stakeholders to execute against it. You've done this before (ideally at another B2B SaaS or Cybersecurity company) and you know what a contemporary, high-performing website looks like because you've built one.

Key Responsibilities

- Website Strategy & Roadmap: Own the strategic roadmap for Qualys.com, prioritize initiatives based on business impact rather than reactive requests, and defend that roadmap against ad hoc, out-of-cycle asks.

- Performance & Conversion Ownership: Define the KPIs that matter: conversion rate, engagement, and pipeline contribution. Drive the CRO and testing program using A/B tests and behavioral data to actively improve outcomes, not just report on them.

- Personalization Strategy: Design and direct the strategy for using behavioral and audience data to serve tailored content and experiences to key segments.

- Technical Direction: Guide the web development team's priorities and technical approach, translating business goals into a clear execution plan they can build against.

- Cross-Functional Leadership: Represent web strategy to marketing, product, sales, and executive stakeholders; resolve competing priorities at the roadmap level rather than case by case.

- Global Strategy: Set direction for multi-language support, international SEO,



and region-specific experience strategy.

- Security & Compliance: Ensure that the website meets all required global standards for compliance and regulation.

- Brand & Experience Standards: Partner with Brand/Creative to ensure the site's direction and user experience reflect the company's positioning and visual identity.

- Team Leadership: Manage and actively develop the people on the web team by providing hands-on technical and strategic guidance.

Requirements

- 10+ years in digital/web leadership, including 3+ years specifically in a director-level (or equivalent) role owning a corporate website or digital product.

- Verifiable track record of personally leading a website redesign, platform migration, or comparable large-scale initiative end to end.

- Direct experience managing a technical or web development team.

- Demonstrated history of defining and driving KPI/CRO programs with measurable results (be ready to discuss specific outcomes).

- Experience operating cross-functionally with executive-level stakeholders.

- B2B experience required; cybersecurity industry experience strongly preferred.

Tools & Systems

- CMS & Hosting: Modern JavaScript framework experience (Next.js/React strongly preferred), hosted on a CDN/edge platform such as Netlify.

- Analytics: Google Analytics 4 (GA4).

- A/B Testing & Experimentation: Experience with an A/B testing platform (Optimizely, VWO, or similar).

- Behavioral & Session Analytics: Experience with a behavioral/session analytics tool (Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, or similar).

- Reporting & BI: Looker Studio or Tableau.

- Project Management: Asana or similar.

- Cookie Consent & Privacy Compliance: Experience with a cookie consent/compliance platform (Cookiebot or similar).
