Job Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging Integrated Humanities lessons integrating History, Geography, Civics, Economics, and Social Sciences.

- Develop inquiry-based, student-centred lessons that promote critical thinking, research, communication, and analytical skills.

- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, projects, and assessments aligned with the school curriculum.

- Encourage students to analyse historical events, social issues, cultures, political systems, and global developments from multiple perspectives.

- Facilitate discussions, debates, group activities, case studies, research projects, and presentations.

- Integrate local, national, and global perspectives into classroom learning.

- Use technology and digital resources effectively to enhance learning.

- Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback.

- Maintain accurate records of student progress and academic performance.

- Support differentiated learning strategies to meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.

- Guide students in independent research, source evaluation, academic writing, and presentation skills.

- Participate in field trips, exhibitions, Model United Nations, debates, community projects, and other co-curricular activities.

- Collaborate with other subject teachers to develop interdisciplinary learning experiences.

- Maintain a positive, inclusive,



and respectful classroom workplace.

- Communicate regularly with parents and school leadership regarding student progress and academic concerns.

- Participate in departmental meetings, professional development programmes, school events, and other assigned responsibilities.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Social Sciences, Humanities, or a related discipline.

- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred/required as per school requirements.

- Candidates with IB / Cambridge / CBSE curriculum experience will be preferred.

- For IB schools, knowledge of IB MYP/DP Humanities or Individuals & Societies will be an added advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 23 years of teaching experience in Humanities/Social Sciences.

- Experience teaching middle school and/or secondary school students preferred.

- Experience in inquiry-based and interdisciplinary teaching will be an advantage.

- Strong classroom management, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to use Google Workspace, MS Office, digital teaching tools, and LMS platforms effectively.
