Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Music Teacher to join our school and inspire students through music education. The candidate will be responsible for teaching music, developing students' musical skills, preparing students for performances, and encouraging creativity and confidence through individual and group activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging music lessons for students across different age groups.

- Teach vocal and/or instrumental music based on the candidate's area of expertise.

- Develop students' skills in singing, rhythm, melody, harmony, music theory, and performance.

- Prepare students for school assemblies, annual day, cultural programmes, competitions, concerts, and special events.

- Conduct individual and group music practices.

- Identify and nurture students with strong musical abilities.

- Organise and maintain music clubs, ensembles, choirs, bands, or orchestras as required.

- Select and arrange suitable songs and musical pieces for student performances.

- Maintain appropriate records of student progress and participation.

- Collaborate with teachers and school leadership for events and interdisciplinary activities.

- Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and safe use of musical instruments and equipment.

- Create a positive, inclusive,



and encouraging learning environment.

- Participate in school activities, meetings, professional development programmes, and other assigned responsibilities.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music / Performing Arts or a relevant qualification.

- Strong knowledge of music theory and practical music education.

- Proficiency in vocal music and/or one or more musical instruments.

- Good communication and classroom-management skills.

- Ability to work with students of different age groups and skill levels.

- Prior experience in a CBSE / IB / International School will be an advantage.

Preferred Skills

- Piano/Keyboard, Guitar, Western/Classical Vocal, Indian Classical Music, or other relevant musical expertise.

- Experience in conducting choirs, bands, ensembles, or orchestras.

- Ability to arrange music and prepare students for stage performances.

- Creativity, patience, enthusiasm, and solid interpersonal skills.

- Ability to use technology and digital resources for music education.
