Job Summary

We are looking for a creative, energetic, and experienced Dance Choreographer to train and mentor students across different age groups. The candidate will be responsible for designing engaging dance routines, conducting regular practice sessions, and preparing students for school events, annual day celebrations, competitions, cultural programmes, and other performances.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and teach innovative dance routines suitable for different age groups and skill levels.
- Train students in appropriate dance techniques, movements, rhythm, coordination, and stage presence.
- Choreograph performances based on the theme, music, occasion, and students' abilities.
- Conduct regular dance classes and structured rehearsal sessions.
- Prepare students for annual day, cultural events, competitions, celebrations, and special school programmes.
- Demonstrate dance movements and provide clear instructions and corrections.
- Manage group formations, transitions, stage movements, and performance sequences.
- Encourage students to develop confidence, discipline, creativity, teamwork, and performance skills.
- Adapt choreography according to individual student abilities and physical limitations.
- Coordinate with teachers and school management for event planning and performance requirements.
- Assist with music selection, costumes, formations, and stage requirements where required.




- Maintain discipline and ensure a safe environment during dance practices.
- Keep updated with current dance trends, techniques, and styles.
- Provide constructive feedback and motivate students to improve their performance.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma/Degree/Certification in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Dance Teacher/Choreographer.
- Strong knowledge of one or more dance forms such as:

- Classical Dance

- Western Dance

- Contemporary

- Bollywood
- Hip-Hop

- Folk Dance
- Jazz or other relevant styles
- Excellent choreography and performance skills.
- Good musical sense, rhythm, coordination, and stage awareness.
- Strong communication and classroom-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively with children and teenagers.
- Creative, energetic, patient, and enthusiastic approach.
- Good physical fitness and stamina.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and event teams.

Experience
- 25 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Experience working in a school or educational institution will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with solid performance/choreography portfolios may also be considered.

Preferred Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be passionate about dance, comfortable working with students of different age groups, and capable of transforming creative ideas into well-coordinated stage performances.
