Position: Physical Education (PE) Teacher / Staff

Location: Manchester International School, Coimbatore

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Responsibilities

- Plan and conduct engaging Physical Education classes for students across different age groups.
- Teach fundamental sports skills, fitness, physical conditioning, and healthy lifestyle practices.
- Organize and supervise sports activities, games, competitions, and athletic events.
- Develop students' physical fitness, coordination, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.
- Coach students in various indoor and outdoor sports based on their interests and abilities.
- Monitor students' performance and maintain appropriate PE assessment and activity records.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safe storage of sports equipment and facilities.
- Ensure student safety during all physical activities and follow appropriate first-aid and safety procedures.
- Identify and encourage talented students for inter-school, district, state, and national-level competitions.
- Support and participate in Annual Sports Day, school tournaments, clubs, and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain discipline and ensure students follow sports rules and safety guidelines.




- Collaborate with class teachers and school management to support students' overall development.
- Participate in school events, meetings, training programmes, and other assigned responsibilities.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or equivalent.
- M.P.Ed. or relevant additional qualification will be an advantage.
- Relevant teaching/coaching certification is desirable.
- Previous experience working in a school or educational institution is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sports, fitness, athletics, and physical training.
