Role Summary Product Development
Responsible for the design and development of new parts, subsystems, and products, including R&D;, design improvements, engineering problem-solving, and testing activities. The role involves concept development, feasibility studies, design validation, and prototype development to ensure successful product realization.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute product design and development activities across multiple projects and product variants.
- Design and develop components, subsystems, and compressor packages in line with project plans and EPDP requirements.
- Coordinate design validation and testing activities with cross-functional teams.
- Provide technical inputs to support procurement, supplier development, and product development activities.
- Execute redesign, engineering changes, and special projects based on business requirements.
Preferred Candidate Profile
Qualification
- B.E.
/ B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
Experience
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in Product Development / R&D; / Design & Development.
Technical Skills
- Experience in New Product Development (NPD) and product lifecycle management.
- Exposure to EPDP or similar stage-gate product development processes.
- Hands-on experience in compressor design preferred.
- Candidates with experience in rotating equipment such as pumps, blowers, or turbines may also be considered.
- Experience in subsystem and component design.
Engineering Knowledge
- Robust fundamentals in:
- Thermodynamics / Compression Cycles
- Fluid Mechanics
- Mechanical System Design
Design Expertise
- Shaft design
- Bearing selection
- Stress & fatigue analysis
- Tolerance stack-up
- Knowledge of ASME / ISO / API standards will be an added advantage.
Tools & Software
- Proficiency in any of the following CAD tools: SolidWorks / Creo / NX
- Knowledge of GD&T; and DFMA will be an added advantage.
