Role & responsibilities

- Responsible for overall plant operations, production and performance of the 300 MT/day Rice Bran Solvent Extraction Plant.
- Plan, monitor and achieve daily/monthly production targets while maintaining product quality and process efficiency.
- Manage complete Rice Bran Solvent Extraction process, including preparation, extraction, solvent recovery, desolventization and related operations.
- Monitor oil recovery, DORB quality, process losses and overall plant efficiency and take corrective actions wherever required.
- Ensure safe and efficient handling of Hexane/Solvent, including solvent recovery and process safety.
- Lead and coordinate Production, Maintenance, Utilities, Quality, Stores and Safety teams.
- Ensure maximum plant uptime through effective preventive and breakdown maintenance coordination.
- Monitor boiler, steam, electrical, water, cooling and other utility requirements for uninterrupted plant operations.
- Manage manpower planning, shift allocation, discipline and productivity of plant personnel.
- Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures, statutory requirements and environmental norms.
- Maintain proper coordination between Purchase, Stores, Production, Maintenance, Quality and Dispatch departments.




- Monitor consumption of raw materials, chemicals, solvents, fuel, power and other consumables and control operating costs.
- Analyse daily production and operational reports and provide regular updates to management.
- Identify process bottlenecks and implement process improvement and cost-reduction measures.
- Ensure proper inventory and availability of critical spares and consumables in coordination with the Stores and Maintenance teams.
- Handle plant start-up, shutdown, troubleshooting and emergency situations effectively.
- Develop SOPs and ensure adherence to established process, quality and safety standards.
- Train, guide and develop the plant team to build a disciplined and performance-oriented work culture.
- Take ownership of overall plant profitability, efficiency, productivity and operational discipline.

Preferred candidate profile Candidate should have hands-on experience in Rice Bran Solvent Extraction / Rice Bran Oil / DORB manufacturing, with solid knowledge of plant production, solvent recovery, process operations, utilities, maintenance and manpower management. Experience in independently handling a solvent extraction plant will be preferred.
