Quantity Surveyor & Quality Control Responsibilities Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

1. Prepare, review and maintain BOQs based on approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
2. Conduct accurate quantity take-offs for civil works, sports surfaces, flooring, fencing, painting, fabrication and other project activities.
3. Review drawings and identify quantity requirements, discrepancies and scope variations.
4. Conduct site measurements and verify executed quantities against BOQ and approved drawings.
5. Prepare and maintain measurement sheets for completed works.
6. Track material quantities received, issued, consumed, balance and wastage.
7. Monitor project quantities against approved BOQ and identify quantity/cost deviations. 8. Identify and document additional works, variations and scope changes.
8. Verify vendor/subcontractor measurements and bills before submission for payment.
9. Coordinate with Project Manager, Senior Engineer, Procurement and Accounts for quantity and billing requirements.
10. Prepare quantity reconciliation and variation statements.
11. Support project cost monitoring by providing accurate quantity and consumption data.
12. Maintain records of approved BOQs, measurements, revisions and final quantities.
13. Conduct final measurements and prepare project quantity closure documentation.

Quality Control Responsibilities
1. Ensure all project execution is carried out as per approved drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
2. Conduct regular site inspections of ongoing and completed activities.
3. Check line, level,



dimensions, alignment, slope and finishing of executed works.
4. Inspect quality of materials received before they are used at site.
5. Monitor quality of civil works, sports surfaces, flooring, fencing, painting, fabrication and installation activities.
6. Conduct quality checks at critical stages of project execution.
7. Identify quality deviations, defects and non-conformities at site.
8. Record quality observations and coordinate with the execution team for timely rectification.
9. Verify completion of corrective and rectification works.
10. Monitor vendor and subcontractor work quality against approved specifications.
11. Maintain quality inspection checklists, photographs and supporting documentation.
12. Conduct periodic quality audits of project sites.
13. Track recurring quality issues and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
14. Ensure all identified quality issues are closed before project handover.
15. Conduct final quality inspection and support project handover and closure. Required Qualification & Experience Quantity Surveyor & Quality Control • Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a relevant engineering discipline.

• Experience: 2–5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying, project execution, billing, estimation and quality control.
- Experience in sports infrastructure, civil construction, flooring, synthetic turf, landscaping or similar project execution will be preferred. • Solid knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, site measurements, rate analysis, material reconciliation and contractor/vendor billing.
- Knowledge of quality inspection, drawings, specifications, site execution, defect identification and rectification.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and AutoCAD. • Strong numerical, analytical, documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to coordinate effectively with Project Managers, Senior Engineers, Procurement, Vendors and Site Teams.
- Ability to conduct independent site measurements and quality inspections.
- Willingness to travel to and work at project sites as required.
