Position: Costing Engineer

Job Summary

Responsible for accurate product costing, quotation preparation, pricing, customer coordination, and commercial support for corrugated boxes and packaging products.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare accurate costing for new and repeat products.
- Calculate paper, GSM, BF, ply, flute, printing, die, labour, conversion, and other process costs.
- Prepare customer quotations and commercial offers.
- Analyze customer requirements, drawings, specifications, and RFQs.
- Coordinate with Sales, Design, PPC, Purchase, Production, and Finance teams.
- Obtain and maintain updated raw material and process costs.
- Support Sales in price negotiation and customer follow-up.
- Maintain costing sheets, quotation records, price lists, and customer-wise price history.
- Analyze product profitability and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure timely quotation submission with minimum pricing errors.
- Maintain records of revised costing and approved prices.
- Handle customer queries related to costing, quotations, pricing, and product requirements.
- Prepare professional customer emails, quotations, and commercial communication.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of corrugated box costing and packaging.
- Strong commercial,



analytical, and numerical skills.
- Advanced MS Excel knowledge.
- Good email writing and business communication skills.
- Positive customer handling and negotiation-support skills.
- Solid coordination and follow-up skills.
- ERP/SAP knowledge will be preferred.
- Ability to work under deadlines with high accuracy.

Qualification B.Com / BBA / MBA / B.E. / Diploma in a relevant field.

CMA / Costing background will be preferred.

Industry Preference

Experience in Corrugated Box, Packaging, Paper, Printing & Packaging, or Manufacturing industries will be preferred.
