Role & responsibilities

Comprehensive knowledge of their work with reference to the obligation to maintain the confidentiality of his / her patients and adhere to bylaws, rules & regulations of the medical organization.

Medical Operations:

1. Regularly meet clinicians to understand and resolve operational issues
2. To ensure doctors are available to provide clinical services as per the organization policy.
3. Ensure that all the doctors credentials are reviewed, approved and privileges granted accordingly
4. Monitoring the doctors contracts, indemnity and state medical council registrations
5. Ensure legal compliances of the medical departments (E.g. PCPNDT, MTP, AERB NDPS ART Etc.)
6. Reporting of the reports to statutory authorities on timely basis
7. Reporting of key performance indicators and clinical indicators by 5th of every month
8. Ensure a well-structured clinical meeting is held once a month
9. Mapping of clinical functions at hospital through SOP. Implementation and continuous monitoring
10. Ensuring patient safety and clinical governance through stringent monitoring and improvement
11. Coordinating with outsourced clinical departments in case of operational issues for smooth functioning.
12. To conduct internal audits as per the schedule, clinical audit, quality improvement programs
13. To ensure continuity of accreditation of unit, submit all the reports on time, prepare and apply for renewal on time, complete the assessments / NC Closures on time
14. Ensure committee meetings are conducted as per scheduled calendar.

Conduct Regular structured meeting with the consultants
16. Analyze and revert on the feedback or complaints related to medical services.
17. Identifying training needs of medical operations team members and organizing training sessions
18. Apply for academic program for doctors -in the hospital and ensure the events are performed as per the calendar.
19. Escalate any matter related to Medicolegal issues, notice, adverse clinical outcome to the Head of Medical Services.
20. Any other responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager.

ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBLITIES

1. To ensure smooth functioning of Para-medical departments and JC/ Registrars
2. To get renewal of different medical licenses like Pharmacy, Narcotics, AERB etc.

INVENTORY CONTROL: -

1. To carry out periodical check of Drug inventory for the Pharmacy Store, ICU & Wards and to submit the report to the management.

TRAINING AND IN-SERVICE EDUCATION:

1. To give training on periodical basis and educate and motivate all staff to follow the instructions religiously and to maintain cordial working conditions.

EVALUATION To evaluate and assess performance, qualified competence and competency gap (s), implementation of Accreditation standards E.g NABH Standards and related documents.

Doctor Relations

1. Conduct Regular Structured Meeting with Consultant
2. Maintain the Duty Roaster of Inhouse Registrar
3. Prepare on call rota for emergencies/ nighttime and holidays.
