Role Description

This is a full-time Video Editor role based in the Greater Kolkata Area, structured as a hybrid position with some work-from-home flexibility.

The Video

Editor will handle end-to-end post-production for podcasts, documentaries, brand films, and short-form content, including cutting, sequencing, and color grading raw footage to create engaging narratives for digital platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with producers and content strategists, applying motion graphics and visual effects, optimizing videos for formats such as YouTube Shorts and social media, and maintaining brand and style consistency across projects. The role also involves managing project files,



meeting weekly delivery timelines within the studio’s pipeline, and providing creative input to enhance storytelling and audience retention.

The Video

Editor will work closely with a distributed team, using project management and review tools for feedback, version control, and real-time coordination.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Video Production and Video Editing for long-form and short-form digital content.
- Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to ensure visual consistency, mood, and quality across diverse footage.
- Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics for titles, explainers, overlays, and platform-optimized layouts.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with industry-standard editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and motion design software (e.g., After Effects).
- Candidates should possess a solid sense of visual storytelling, pacing, sound design awareness, and attention to detail.
- Candidates should possess the ability to work within structured workflows, manage multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines in a hybrid work environment.
- A portfolio demonstrating relevant video editing and motion graphics work is required; experience with podcast video, documentaries, or brand films is a plus.
- A diploma or degree in film, media, design, or a related field is beneficial, though equivalent practical experience is also valued.
