About the Role

PIV is looking for an experienced Video Editor with a strong background in political and social-media content creation. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of Punjabi content, audience preferences, and the ability to turn raw footage, news, and creative concepts into engaging short-form videos.

You will work closely with content writers, designers, and the wider creative team to produce high-quality videos for social media pages and different projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit engaging political, current-affairs, and social-media videos for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
- Transform scripts, raw footage, interviews, news clips, and creative briefs into compelling videos.
- Create Reels, Shorts, and other short-form video content according to project requirements.
- Understand the context of political and Punjabi content and edit videos according to the target audience and page tone.
- Add appropriate transitions, text animations, subtitles, graphics, sound effects, music, and visual elements to improve storytelling and engagement.
- Select relevant footage, images, clips, and other visual assets to support the content.
- Coordinate with content writers, graphic designers, and other team members throughout the content-production process.
- Handle multiple video requirements and deliver content within defined timelines.
- Maintain consistency in editing style, branding, quality, and formatting across different pages/projects.
- Stay updated with social-media trends, editing styles, viral formats, and audience preferences, particularly within Punjabi and political content.




- Review final videos for accuracy, quality, pacing, subtitles, and platform-specific requirements before publishing.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of professional video-editing experience.
- Previous experience creating political, news, current-affairs, or social-media content is required/preferred.
- Robust understanding of Punjabi content and Punjabi audiences.
- Excellent knowledge of professional video-editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar software. AI video Editing tools
- Good understanding of motion graphics, transitions, subtitles, sound design, pacing, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to understand a script and independently determine the appropriate visual treatment.
- Strong sense of timing, creativity, composition, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Candidates should have a strong portfolio or previous work samples demonstrating their editing skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience working with political/social-media pages or digital media teams.
- Understanding of viral/short-form content formats.
- Knowledge of basic graphic design and motion graphics.
- Familiarity with AI-based video and editing tools is an added advantage.
- Ability to adapt editing style according to different pages, audiences, and campaigns.

Compensation ₹30,000 – ₹55,000 per month, depending on experience, technical skills, portfolio, and interview performance.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
