Role Summary
The Network Manager is responsible for managing enterprise network operations, ensuring
high availability, security, and performance of LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Data Center, and Cloud
connectivity. The role includes leading L2 engineers, handling escalations, maintaining SLA
compliance, and supporting critical insurance applications.
Key Responsibilities
Network Operations
Manage and monitor LAN, WAN, MPLS, Internet, VPN, SD-WAN, and Data Center networks.
Ensure 24x7 network availability and adherence to SLAs.
Handle escalations and coordinate with SME and vendors for issue resolution.
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for major incidents.
Network Security
Manage firewalls, IPS/IDS, VPNs, NAC, and network access controls.
Ensure compliance with insurance industry security standards and audit requirements.
Support vulnerability assessments and remediation activities.
Team Management




Lead and mentor L1/L2 network engineers.
Conduct shift planning, resource allocation, and performance reviews.
Ensure adherence to ITIL Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
Infrastructure Management
Configure and manage routers, switches, load balancers, wireless controllers, and firewalls.
Maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and asset inventory.
Plan capacity upgrades and network optimization initiatives. Required Technical Skills
Routing Protocols: OSPF, BGP, EIGRP
Switching: VLAN, STP, EtherChannel
Security: Fortinet, Palo Alto, VPN
SD-WAN Technologies
Wireless Networking
Load Balancers
Monitoring Tools: SolarWinds, Zabbix, Opmanager
ITIL Incident/Problem/Change Management
Cloud Networking (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering/computer science/IT.
ITIL Foundation, CCNA, CCNP, Cloud certification preferred.
