Focus on platform operations, monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, and automation.
Support and maintain streaming infrastructure rather than develop streaming applications.
Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and data teams to ensure platform stability and efficiency.
Monitor platform health, throughput, consumer lag, and performance metrics.
Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.
Respond to incidents and troubleshoot Kafka streaming issues.
Participate in on-call support and major incident management.
Define and track Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
Automate operational tasks using scripting and configuration management.
Support capacity planning and forecasting for platform growth.
Maintain backup, failover, and disaster recovery procedures.
Perform routine health checks of Kafka streaming applications.
Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation.
