your key responsibilities include

as FinOps database automation engineer:

● Data foundation & architecture: Own the FinOps data foundation model end-to-end.

Design, build, and optimize production data pipelines from ingestion to consumption

within a hybrid/multi-cloud architecture.

● Automation & integration: Establish automated API integrations between SaaS tools,

financial platforms and other sources like our CMDB to centralize billing and usage data.

● Cross-functional collaboration: Partner closely with FinOps Engineers, Service

Owners, Technical Account Managers, Cloud Architects, and Finance department to

translate financial requirements into technical data solutions.

● Continuous improvement: Continuously scale the data foundation by adding new data

sources, optimizing query performance (normalization/indexing),



and enforcing strict data

your background

requirements & qualifications

● Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Big Data Engineer, or in a

closely related technical role.

● Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in ambiguous or changing situations

and collaborate seamlessly across diverse individuals and global teams

● Data Engineering & automation: Architect, build, and optimize scalable database

models using Python and SQL, streamlining data pipelines and improving query

performance.

● Cloud & Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with GCP (e.g. BigQuery/Cloud Run

Function/Cloud storage)

● APIs & DevOps: Proven experience building RESTful API integrations and using

automated testing pipelines (Gitlab)

● Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or

equivalent practical experience.

● FinOps certification

● GCP or AWS certifications

● Working knowledge within IT financial management or cloud cost optimization practices

● Data visualization knowledge (e.g. Tableau/Looker)
