What awaits you/ Job Profile

- Lead the development and integration of Hood & Fender systems for the MINI Revo Program.
- Own component engineering activities from concept development through series production.
- Provide technical leadership for Hood & Fender design, vehicle integration, and engineering release activities.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with styling, CAE, manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and supplier teams.
- Lead design reviews and ensure compliance with functional, regulatory, and manufacturing requirements.
- Manage engineering changes, risk assessments, issue resolution, and technical decision-making throughout the development cycle.
- Ensure achievement of quality, cost, weight, timing, and performance targets.
- Guide and mentor engineers within the team, supporting technical growth and project execution.
- Support prototype builds, validation activities, and vehicle-level problem-solving.
- Interface with global stakeholders and contribute to strategic engineering initiatives within BMW Group programs.

What should you bring along

- 8-12 years of experience in Automotive Body, Closures, or Exterior Systems Engineering.
- Robust expertise in Hood and Fender system development within OEM or automotive engineering environments.
- Proven experience leading component development teams and managing technical work packages.
- Excellent understanding of automotive product development processes and engineering release workflows.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle packaging, integration, and closure system requirements.
- Experience working with global customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
- Sound understanding of GD&T;, tolerance stack-up analysis, DFM/DFA, and quality methodologies.
- Strong analytical,



problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or related Engineering discipline.
- Fluent English communication skills; German language skills are an advantage.

Must have technical skill

- Hood & Fender system design and development expertise.
- Advanced CATIA V5 design proficiency.
- Sheet metal design, stamping feasibility, and manufacturing process knowledge.
- Vehicle packaging and component integration know-how.
- Gap & Flush management and tolerance stack-up analysis.
- GD&T; application and technical drawing interpretation.
- DFMEA, DVP&R;, and Engineering Change Management.
- Root cause analysis and countermeasure implementation.
- Supplier technical management and design reviews.
- Vehicle validation, testing, and issue resolution activities.
- Project planning and engineering delivery management.
- Technical risk assessment and quality target achievement.

Good to have Technical skills

- BMW Group or premium OEM product development experience.
- German language proficiency (A1/A2/B1 or higher) is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of PDM/PLM tools and engineering release processes.
- Experience with aluminum and lightweight hood design concepts.
- Understanding of pedestrian protection regulations and hood safety requirements.
- Exposure to CAE-driven design validation and optimization.
- Cost Optimization / Design-to-Cost methodologies.
- Tooling feasibility, die development, and manufacturing engineering exposure.
- Experience in supplier development and supplier technical reviews.
- Knowledge of vehicle launch support and industrialization activities.
- Exposure to complete vehicle integration and cross-functional project coordination.
- Understanding of automotive quality processes such as APQP, PPAP, and Problem Resolution Management.
- Familiarity with BMW development processes, standards, and documentation systems.
- Agile project management and structured automotive development methodologies.
- Experience working in global engineering teams and multicultural environments.
