Position Summary
The General Manager - Quality & R&D; will lead all Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Product Development and
Research & Development functions for packaging films and flexible packaging products. The role requires
extensive experience in BOPP, BOPET, CPP, Metallized and Specialty Films, with proven expertise gained from
leading organizations.
Key Responsibilities
 Lead Quality Assurance and Quality Management Systems across manufacturing operations.
 Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, BRCGS, FSSC 22000, GMP and customer quality standards.
 Drive customer complaint reduction, CAPA implementation and process excellence initiatives.
 Lead R&D; activities for specialty films, barrier films, coated and metallized products.
 Develop creative and sustainable packaging solutions aligned with market requirements.
 Support customer approvals, audits, product trials and commercialization projects.




 Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement practices.
 Lead QA, QC, Laboratory and R&D; teams and build future technical capabilities.
Educational Qualification
B.Tech./B.E. in Polymer, Plastics, Chemical, Packaging or related Engineering discipline. M.Tech./MBA preferred.
Experience
18-25+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance and Research & Development within the Packaging
Films and Flexible Packaging Industry, including leadership exposure.
Technical Competencies
BOPP, BOPET, CPP, Metallization, Coating Technologies, Polymer Science, SPC, FMEA, APQP, Six Sigma,
Sustainable Packaging, Product Commercialization and Customer Quality Management.
