About the RoleYou'll own how individual subsystems come together as one complete, manufacturable vehicle — protecting packaging space, resolving interface conflicts between teams, and driving design decisions from concept to production launch.
What You'll Do
- Own vehicle-level packaging and digital mock-up (DMU) for assigned zones
- Run clash, gap, and interference studies; drive issues to closure with subsystem owners
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis and define GD&T; for critical interfaces
- Protect functional envelopes — suspension travel, door swing, thermal clearance, harness routing, service access
- Support prototype and pilot builds; close fit issues through design change
- Drive DFM/DFA reviews with manufacturing and aftersales
- Manage engineering changes and release readiness through PLM
What You Need
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Automotive,
or Aerospace Engineering
- 3–7 years in automotive product development, with vehicle-level or subsystem integration experience
- Solid CAD skills — CATIA, NX, or Creo — including large-assembly and DMU workflows
- Hands-on GD&T; and tolerance stack-up experience
- Working knowledge of Teamcenter, ENOVIA, or Windchill
- Ability to drive decisions across teams you don't manage
Nice to Have
- EV architecture experience — battery pack integration, HV routing, thermal management
- APQP/PPAP or IATF 16949 exposure
- CAD automation (NX Open, CATIA VBA, Python)
- A program taken through SOP
- Strong organizational and communication skills
