Role & responsibilities

- Progressive accounting experience, in public accounting, real estate, or construction general ledger accounting.

- Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com/M.Com/MBA-Finance) required.

- Robust command of construction and development accounting fundamentals, including job cost accounting, draw preparation, budget monitoring, and capitalization versus expense determinations.

- Proven ability to review income statements and balance sheets to identify risks and issues, and to clearly summarize the drivers of financial statement fluxes.

- Yardi experience, specifically the job cost module, a plus; working knowledge of other ERP systems such as JDE, MRI, Oracle, or SAP also valued.

- Prior experience working with outsourced accounting resources, including training and mentorship.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders, development managers, and capital markets, asset management, FP&A;, and treasury teams.

- Strong analytical and organizational skills, a proven ability to meet deadlines, and a demonstrated commitment to customer service.
