US Bookkeeper

Better Ledger Inc. is looking for an experienced US Bookkeeper to join our growing accounting team.

This is a full-time Work From Office position at our Rohini Sector 3, Recent Delhi office, working the night shift aligned with U.S. business hours.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle day-to-day bookkeeping for U.S.-based clients
- Manage books using QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
- Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Categorize and review financial transactions accurately
- Maintain Chart of Accounts and General Ledger
- Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Prepare and review P&L; and Balance Sheet reports
- Support month-end and year-end closing
- Perform cleanup and catch-up bookkeeping
- Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies
- Maintain accurate, complete, and tax-ready financial records
- Coordinate with internal accounting and tax teams
- Follow client-specific accounting procedures and SOPs

Requirements
- 1+ year of hands-on U.S. bookkeeping experience
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks Online
- QuickBooks Desktop experience is a plus
- Good understanding of U.S. bookkeeping and accounting practices




- Experience with bank and credit card reconciliations
- Understanding of P&L;, Balance Sheet, and General Ledger
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good English communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines
- Comfortable working the U.S. night shift

Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Xero
- Yardi
- AppFolio
- Stripe / PayPal / Square
- Payroll
- Property management bookkeeping
- Month-end close
- Cleanup & catch-up bookkeeping
