Job Summary

n

We are looking for an experienced Senior Merchant to manage furniture orders from product development and sampling through production, quality control, packing, and shipment.

n

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in furniture merchandising, export orders, vendor coordination, production follow-up, and buyer communication.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Manage customer and export orders from order confirmation to shipment.
n
- Coordinate with buyers regarding product specifications, drawings, finishes, samples, and approvals.
n
- Prepare and maintain product specifications, BOMs, costing sheets, and order details.
n
- Coordinate closely with production, purchase, quality, stores, and packing teams.
n
- Follow up on production schedules and ensure timely order completion.
n
- Monitor raw material and hardware requirements for production.
n
- Coordinate product sampling and obtain buyer approvals.
n
- Check product quality and specifications before final packing.
n
- Coordinate packaging requirements according to buyer/export standards.
n
- Track order status and provide regular updates to management and customers.
n
- Identify production or quality issues and coordinate corrective actions.
n
- Maintain proper order documentation and records.
n




- Coordinate with logistics/shipping teams for dispatch and shipment planning.
n
- Support new product development and furniture collection development.
n
- Assist in costing and pricing of new and existing products.
n

Requirements

n

n
- 3–7 years of experience in furniture merchandising.
n
- Experience in furniture manufacturing and export is highly preferred.
n
- Strong knowledge of wooden and industrial furniture.
n
- Experience handling international buyers and export orders.
n
- Positive understanding of furniture construction, materials, hardware, finishes, and packaging.
n
- Experience with BOM, costing, specifications, drawings, and production follow-up.
n
- Strong vendor and supplier coordination skills.
n
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
n
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems.
n
- Ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines independently.
n

Preferred Candidate

n

Candidates who have worked with furniture manufacturers/exporters, buying houses, international furniture brands, or export-oriented furniture companies will be preferred.
