Hiring: Undergraduate/Postgraduate Research Fellow

I am looking for a motivated and research-oriented Undergraduate/Postgraduate Research Fellow to join me in ongoing research activities at SASTRA Deemed to be University, Thanjavur.

The selected student will have the chance to work closely with me on research problems in areas including Power Systems, Renewable Energy Integration, Smart Grids, Electric Vehicles, Energy Storage, Power Economics, Distribution Systems, and Optimization.

Role & Responsibilities

- Conducting literature reviews and reviewing recent research publications
- Supporting research methodology development and implementation
- MATLAB/Simulink-based modelling, simulation, and analysis
- Assisting with optimization and computational studies
- Processing, analyzing, and interpreting research data
- Preparing technical reports, presentations, and research manuscripts
- Participating in research discussions and technical meetings
- Maintaining proper documentation of research activities and results

Who I Am Looking For
- Undergraduate students pursuing Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
- Strong and genuine interest in research
- Basic knowledge of Power Systems and Electrical Engineering
- Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink is highly desirable
- Enthusiastic to explore and work with other Power System tools like ETAP, DIgSILENT




- Exposure to optimization, Python, or other computational tools will be an advantage
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Most importantly, curiosity, commitment, and willingness to learn
