About the Role

n

We are seeking an experienced Governance Lead to establish, drive, and continuously improve enterprise-wide testing governance frameworks across large-scale transformation programs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience leading testing governance, defining QA strategies, ensuring compliance, and driving quality standards across Agile, DevOps, and traditional delivery environments.

The role will partner with business stakeholders, delivery teams, QA organizations, and vendors to ensure consistent quality practices, risk management, process compliance, and effective reporting across multiple programs and portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

Testing Governance & Strategy

n

n
- Define, implement, and continuously enhance enterprise-level testing governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures.
n
- Establish and drive consistent testing methodologies across Agile, DevOps, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
n
- Develop governance processes aligned with organizational quality, compliance, and risk management objectives.
n
- Define testing maturity improvement plans and promote industry best practices across programs.
n

Process Oversight & Compliance

n

n
- Monitor adherence to testing governance policies, standards, and quality frameworks across projects and programs.
n
- Conduct periodic governance reviews, health checks, audits, and quality assessments.
n
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and organizational quality standards.
n
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives based on audit findings, lessons learned, and industry benchmarks.
n
- Assess risks associated with testing activities and recommend mitigation strategies.
n

Metrics, Reporting & Quality Assurance

n

n
- Define and govern testing KPIs, quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms.
n




- Provide senior leadership with actionable insights on testing effectiveness, defect trends, quality risks, and delivery readiness.
n
- Establish governance reporting frameworks for executive stakeholders.
n
- Monitor defect management processes, test coverage, automation effectiveness, and quality indicators across programs.
n
- Drive data-driven decision-making through meaningful quality analytics.
n

Stakeholder Management

n

n
- Act as the central point of contact for testing governance across business units, delivery teams, QA organizations, and third-party vendors.
n
- Collaborate with Program Managers, Delivery Leads, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, and Technical Leads to achieve quality objectives.
n
- Facilitate governance review meetings and quality steering committees.
n
- Manage stakeholder expectations through proactive communication and risk reporting.
n
- Ensure alignment between business goals, delivery objectives, and testing strategies.
n

Tooling & Automation Governance

n

n
- Provide governance and oversight for test management platforms and automation frameworks.
n
- Drive adoption and standardization of tools such as JIRA, ALM, Selenium, Tosca, Azure DevOps, and related QA solutions.
n
- Support integration of testing tools with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps ecosystems.
n
- Establish standards for automation, reporting, traceability, and defect management.
n
- Evaluate and recommend testing tools and technologies to improve testing efficiency and governance.
n

Vendor & Partner Management

n

n
- Govern vendor-led QA engagements and outsourced testing organizations.
n




- Review vendor deliverables, quality metrics, and adherence to contractual obligations.
n
- Monitor vendor performance against SLAs, KPIs, and governance standards.
n
- Ensure consistency in testing practices across internal and external teams.
n

Leadership & Mentoring

n

n
- Provide leadership and strategic direction to QA Managers, Test Leads, and Governance Teams.
n
- Mentor testing teams on governance best practices, testing strategies, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives.
n
- Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
n
- Promote knowledge sharing and capability development across the QA organization.
n

Required Qualifications

n

n
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
n
- 15+ years of overall IT experience.
n
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Testing Governance, Testing Strategy, QA Leadership, or Quality Management roles.
n
- Strong understanding of the Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC), Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and Quality Assurance methodologies.
n
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.
