1. Ability to perform super-critical turbine nozzle finishing and assembly as per technical standards.
2. Skilled in fillet finishing, edge dressing, and surface profiling of nozzle segments.
3. Experience in MAG tape nozzle finishing, weld bead removal, and controlled polishing.
4. Hands-on experience in hydrotest setup, nozzle leak check, and pressure test support.
5. Ability to perform alignment work, including nozzle ring alignment and fit-up.
6. Knowledge of thermal spraying processes /Abradable coating (metal spray / HVOF / plasma) .
7. Skilled in coating preparation, masking, surface roughness maintenance, and coating inspection.
8. Ability to perform blue matching / blue checking to ensure proper contact surfaces.
9. Skilled in material handling, safe lifting of nozzle segments using slings, chain blocks, and cranes.
10. Strict adherence to SOP, MI, engineering drawings, and process specifications.
11. Good understanding of measuring instruments such as Vernier, micrometre, radius gauge, feeler gauge, dial gauge, bore gauge.
12. Ability to perform profile checking, radius measurement, and clearance verification.
13. Experience in blending, grinding, polishing, and removing excess weld metal.
14. Knowledge of hard-facing, thermal spray coating thickness checks, and surface inspection.
15. Maintain 5S practices (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) on the shop floor.
16. Participation in Kaizen activities for productivity improvement and process optimization.
17. Ability to identify surface defects, cracks, porosity,



mismatch, and escalate issues.
18. Support quality team during stage inspection, coating thickness measurement, and final acceptance.
19. Maintain assembly and finishing records, check sheets, and daily task documentation.
20. Follow safety standards, PPE usage, hot-work safety, and handling precautions.
21. Ability to understand nozzle flow path requirements, smoothness, and finishing specifications.
22. Skilled in hand tools, pneumatic grinders, belt polishers, and finishing tools.
23. Maintain proper storage and protection of finished nozzle segments, avoiding handling damage.
24. Ability to work effectively with welders, inspectors, machinists, and other shop teams.
25. Provide training and guidance to junior operators on finishing and inspection processes.
26. Support continuous improvement activities to enhance quality, reduce rework, and improve reliability.
27. Maintain discipline, teamwork, communication, and qualified attitude on the shop floor.
28. Ability to work in shifts, extended hours, and meet tight assembly/finishing schedules.
