We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Network Engineer to manage, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure our network infrastructure across the organisation.

n

Job Summary

n

The Network Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day management of network infrastructure, firewall administration, connectivity, troubleshooting, network security, and IT infrastructure support. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Sophos Firewall, LAN/WAN, VPN, TCP/IP, routing and switching, along with a CCNA certification.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Manage and maintain the organisation‘s LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and network infrastructure.
n
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Sophos Firewall and related security policies.
n
- Manage firewall rules, NAT, VPNs, web filtering, application control, and network security configurations.
n
- Monitor network performance, availability, bandwidth, and connectivity.
n
- Troubleshoot network issues involving LAN, WAN, Internet, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and routing.
n
- Configure and troubleshoot switches, routers, access points, and other network devices.
n
- Handle user connectivity issues and provide timely technical support.
n
- Perform network installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades.
n




- Monitor network security and identify potential vulnerabilities or unauthorised access.
n
- Maintain network documentation, configurations, IP address records, and infrastructure diagrams.
n
- Coordinate with Internet Service Providers and external vendors for connectivity and technical issues.
n
- Support IT infrastructure across corporate and branch/centre locations.
n
- Participate in network expansion, infrastructure improvement, and implementation projects.
n
- Ensure regular backup and documentation of network and firewall configurations.
n
- Follow IT security policies, access-control procedures, and organisational standards.
n
- Maintain proper records of incidents, troubleshooting activities, and resolutions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

n

Experience

n

n
- 4–5 years of relevant experience in Network Engineering / Network Administration.
n
- Hands-on experience managing enterprise network infrastructure.
n
- Robust practical experience with Sophos Firewall.
n
- CCNA certification is mandatory.
n

n

Technical Skills

n

n
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, DNS, DHCP and VPN.
n
- Good understanding of routing and switching concepts.
n
- Hands-on experience with routers, switches, access points, and network devices.
n
- Experience with firewall configuration, security policies, NAT, VPN, and web/application filtering.
n
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
n




- Knowledge of network monitoring and performance management.
n
- Understanding of network security and basic cybersecurity principles.
n
- Good knowledge of IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, and routing protocols.
n
- Experience with Wi-Fi/network connectivity troubleshooting.
n
- Knowledge of Windows-based network environments is an advantage.
n

Good to Have

n

- Experience working with Sophos Central / Sophos Firewall.
n
- Knowledge of cybersecurity and endpoint security solutions.
n
- Experience managing networks across multiple branches or locations.
n
- Knowledge of AWS/Azure networking is an advantage.
n
- Experience in healthcare or multi-location organisations will be an added advantage.
n
- Additional networking certifications such as CCNP will be a plus.
n
