Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Trainee Chef role based in Mumbai at VS3 Golden Years - Assisted Senior Living.

The Trainee

Chef will support the kitchen team in preparing and cooking nutritious, well-balanced meals tailored to the dietary needs and preferences of senior residents. Daily responsibilities include food preparation, plating,



and portion control; maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety; and helping with inventory management and kitchen organization. The role also involves learning menu planning for senior living, supporting special meals for events and activities, and collaborating with the culinary and wellness teams to provide a positive dining experience for residents.

Qualifications

- Foundational culinary skills, including basic cooking techniques, food preparation, and plating.
- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary considerations for senior residents, including balanced meals and special diets.
- Understanding of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and proper handling and storage of ingredients.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented kitchen environment and follow guidance from senior chefs.
- Certificate or diploma in Culinary Arts, Hotel Management, or a related field is preferred, but entry-level candidates with relevant training are welcome.
