We are looking for an experienced Tool Room Design Engineer with 3+ years of relevant experience in ISBM (Injection Stretch Blow Moulding) tooling and mould design. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and modifying moulds, tools and components as per production requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop ISBM moulds and tooling as per product and customer requirements.
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D drawings for moulds, tools and components.
- Modify and improve existing mould designs based on production and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with Tool Room, Production, Quality and Engineering teams for tool development.
- Handle mould development, trials, troubleshooting and modifications.
- Ensure accuracy, dimensional requirements and manufacturability of tool designs.
- Prepare and maintain engineering drawings, BOMs and technical documentation.
- Support root-cause analysis for mould/tooling-related issues.
- Coordinate with vendors/tool makers for manufacturing and modification of mould components.
- Ensure designs comply with required quality and production standards.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of relevant experience in Tool Room / Mould Design.
- Strong hands-on experience in ISBM tooling and mould design.
- Knowledge of Injection Stretch Blow Moulding processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD / SolidWorks / Creo or relevant CAD software.
- Positive understanding of mould components, tooling concepts and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of GD&T;, engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances.
- Good problem-solving and coordination skills.
Preferred
- Experience in PET bottle / plastic packaging mould design will be preferred.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in ISBM mould development and trials will be highly preferred.
