Role Description The Title Examiner role is a full-time, remote position responsible for reviewing and analyzing real estate records to determine the legal status of property titles. Day-to-day tasks include conducting title searches using public records and databases, examining deeds and other legal documents, and identifying any liens, encumbrances, or defects affecting ownership.

The Title

Examiner prepares clear title opinions and reports, documents findings, and communicates issues or requirements to internal team members or clients. This role also supports escrow and closing processes by verifying chain of title,



ensuring all conditions are met for issuance of title insurance. The position requires consistent attention to detail, adherence to company and regulatory standards, and timely completion of assigned orders.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in conducting Title Searches and reviewing Chain of Title to identify ownership history and potential defects.
- Candidates should possess skills in preparing Title Opinions and interpreting Deeds and related legal instruments.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Escrow processes and documentation to support accurate and compliant closings.
- Solid attention to detail, analytical ability, and comfort working with legal and real estate documents.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including clear report writing and documentation.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple files, and meet deadlines consistently.
- Experience in title examination, real estate law, or title insurance operations is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in real estate, paralegal studies, or a related field is beneficial.
