Job Title: Senior Textile Print Designer - Pure Digital Fabrics Company: NKM Fashion Location: Surat, Gujarat | On-site Salary: Based on Experience & Portfolio Experience: 4+ Years About Us NKM Fashion is a leading textile house based in Surat, specializing in premium pure fabrics. We are looking for a Senior Textile Designer to lead our design vertical for pure digital prints.

Role Summary We need a creative and technically robust designer with proven expertise in pure digital printed fabrics (Cotton, Viscose, Silk, Linen, Muslin). You will be responsible for end-to-end print creation — from trend research and concept development to final production-ready files.

Key Responsibilities 1.

Print

Design & Development - Create original, commercial print collections: All-over, placement, border, and panel prints specifically for pure fabrics.

- Develop new concepts, motifs, and textures keeping in mind the behavior of pure fabrics in digital printing.
- Create multiple colorways, repeats, and harmonious collections. 2.

Trend

Analysis & Research - Lead seasonal research on international & domestic trends, color forecasts (WGSN, Pantone), market movements and buyer preferences.

- Present mood boards, theme boards, and collection stories for each season. 3.

Technical

Expertise - Prepare flawless, production-ready artwork with perfect repeat setting, scaling, and color correction for pure fabrics.

- Deep knowledge of digital printing process on pure - color fastness, color bleeding, fabric shrinkage and final finishing.




- Collaborate with the printing & processing team for strike-offs, color approvals and quality control. 4.

Other Textile

Techniques - Knowledge of additional techniques like embroidery placement, foil, discharge effects that complement digital prints.

- Guide junior designers on design principles and software skills.

Required Skills & Qualifications - Technical Skills:

Expert in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator. Proficiency in textile CAD (NedGraphics / AVA / TexPro) is highly preferred.

- Fabric Knowledge:

Strong understanding of pure fabric constructions, weaves, and how prints sit on different pure bases.

- Design Sense:

Exceptional sense of color, repeat, layout, and detailing. Solid portfolio focused on pure digital prints is a MUST.

- Education:

B.Des/M.Des in Textile Design, Fashion Textile, or Fine Arts from NIFT, NID or reputed institute preferred.

- Soft Skills:

Leadership, attention to detail, ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple collections.
