Job Summary

We are seeking a highly creative and versatile Textile and Product Designer to spearhead our design collections across three core divisions: Home Textiles, and Made-Ups (such as bags, cushions, table linens, and fashion accessories). The ideal candidate possesses a unique blend of artistic vision and technical expertise, with the ability to translate global lifestyle and fashion trends into commercially viable, high-quality products. You will oversee the design process from initial concept, mood boards, and artwork creation through to fabric specification, technical sampling, and production handover.

Key Responsibilities

1. Trend Forecasting & Concept Development

· Research and analyse global markets, consumer preferences, and seasonal colour/fabric forecasts to develop overarching design concepts.

· Curate inspirational mood boards, colour palettes, and theme directions that cater simultaneously to apparel and home lifestyles.

2. Home Textiles & Made-Ups Design

· Create cutting-edge prints, patterns (florals, geometrics, abstracts), and textures tailored for diverse product silhouettes.

· Design seasonal apparel ranges, focusing on fabric draping, functionality, construction aesthetics, and market relevance.

· Ensure print repeats, engineering layouts, and scale placements align perfectly with product patterns.

· Conceptualize and draft cohesive design collections for home textile ranges, including bed linens, bath towels, and curtains.

· Design a wide array of functional "made-ups" and Fashion Accessories, soft furnishings such as cushions, table runners, throws, place mats, and kitchen linens.

· Ensure structural techniques (like quilting, tufting, tassels, and specialized stitching) are seamlessly integrated into the product blueprints.

3. Technical Execution & Software Proficiency

· Develop production-ready,



seamless artwork repeats and technical specification sheets (Tech Packs).

· Specify precise colour values using standardized systems (e.g., Pantone Textile) and define fabrication parameters (yarn counts, weave structures, weights).

· Utilize CAD software (such as Adobe Creative Suite) to build virtual product mock-ups and variants.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Sample Oversight

· Partner closely with the merchandising, sampling, and manufacturing teams to oversee sample development, refining prototypes for optimal aesthetic and structural execution.

· Liaison with vendors, dye houses, and printing mills to troubleshoot production constraints (weaving, digital/rotary printing, embroidery).

· Maintain a comprehensive archive of design artworks, seasonal collections, and physical fabric swatches.

Required Skills & Qualifications

· Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a closely related creative field.

· Experience: 3 to 7 years of active design experience handling a diverse portfolio across apparel, home products, or soft home furnishings.

· Technical Software: Mastery of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Hands-on experience with specialized textile CAD software is a robust advantage.

· Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of textile science—including fabric structures (woven, knitted), printing techniques (digital, screen, block), dyeing methods, and embroidery finishing.

· Industry Awareness: Strong command over colour theory, product layout scaling, and structural pattern placement.

· Soft Skills: Excellent presentation skills to pitch seasonal lines, coupled with strong project management capabilities to navigate tight commercial deadlines.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
