Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Textile Designer with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join our design team. The role involves developing original textile concepts,

surface designs, embroideries, and fabric innovations that align with the brand's aesthetic, while keeping the craft of Bandhani at its core.

Key Responsibilities

●Research textiles, traditional crafts, colour stories, motifs, and surface techniques aligned with the brand's vision.

●Develop original textile designs, concepts, embroidery layouts, and surface developments.

●Create detailed artwork, repeat patterns, colourways, and technical design sheets

●Work closely with artisans, dyers, embroiderers, weavers, and vendors to execute textile developments.

●Coordinate sampling and fabric development.

●Maintain textile archives, design documentation, and development records.





●Collaborate with the fashion design and production design team to ensure seamless integration of textiles into collections.

Requirements

●Minimum 2 years of experience in Textile Design

●Degree or diploma in Textile Design, preferably from NIFT, Shantiniketan

●Strong understanding of Indian textiles, traditional crafts, dyeing, embroidery, and fabric construction

●Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, Procreate

●Strong sense of colour, composition, repeat development, and surface detailing

●Organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a cooperative environment
