Position: Tendering / Proposal Engineer

Qualification

 Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

 Additional qualification will be an advantage.

Experience:

 Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in preparation and submission of tenders for electrical systems.

 Experience in Power Transmission, Distribution, Substation, Railway/Metro or other electrical infrastructure projects.

 Experience in both technical and commercial aspects of tendering is preferred.

 Experience in preparation of tenders for Government, Power Utilities, PSU, Railway, Metro Rail or other infrastructure organisations will be preferred

Key Responsibilities

1. Study tender documents, technical specifications, drawings, BOQs, schedules and contractual requirements.
2. Analyse the scope of work and identify technical, commercial and contractual requirements of the tender.
3. Prepare technical offers, compliance statements, technical schedules, deviations and other tender submissions.
4.



Prepare/coordinate estimation and costing for electrical/Mechanical systems, equipment, materials, installation, testing and commissioning.
5. Obtain and evaluate quotations from vendors/subcontractors and prepare comparative statements.
6. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, project execution and commercial teams for preparation of competitive bids.
7. Identify technical risks, exclusions, assumptions and commercial implications associated with the tender. 8. Prepare responses to pre-bid queries, tender clarifications and post-bid technical/commercial queries.
8. Review electrical drawings, SLDs, schematics, equipment specifications and BOQs to ensure consistency with the tender requirements.

10.Assist in preparation of presentations and technical discussions with clients during tender evaluation. 11.Maintain a database of vendor quotations, rates, technical specifications and previous tender information for future bids. Desired Technical Exposure The candidate should have working knowledge/exposure to Power Transmission & Distributiin systems or Rolling Stock Preferred Experience Experience in tendering for Power, Railway, Metro Rail, Traction, Substation or other large electrical infrastructure projects shall be preferred.
