Position Summary

n

We are seeking a Senior IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SBI) and Sterling File Gateway (SFG) System Administrator responsible for installation, configuration, administration, upgrades, migrations, patching, cloud deployments, and production support of IBM Sterling environments.

n

This is NOT a Sterling developer role. The primary focus is platform administration, infrastructure management, cloud deployment, performance tuning, troubleshooting, upgrades, and operational support rather than mapping, EDI development, or business process development.

n

Primary Responsibilities

n

Platform Administration

n

n
- Install, configure, and administer IBM Sterling B2B Integrator and Sterling File Gateway environments.
n
- Manage multi-node clustered Sterling environments.
n
- Configure high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
n
- Perform environment setup across Development, QA, UAT, and Production.
n

n

Cloud Deployments & Infrastructure

n

n
- Deploy and administer Sterling platforms in AWS, Azure, or hybrid cloud environments.
n
- Configure cloud networking, load balancers, storage, and security components required for Sterling.
n
- Support infrastructure modernization initiatives.
n

n

Upgrades, Migrations & Patching

n

n
- Lead Sterling version upgrades and migrations.
n
- Apply Fix Packs, Interim Fixes, and Security Patches.
n
- Perform platform migrations from on-premise to cloud.
n
- Create rollback and recovery plans for production deployments.
n




- Troubleshoot upgrade-related issues and system outages.
n

n

Linux / Unix System Administration

n

n
- Robust hands-on administration experience in:
n
- Red Hat Linux
n
- Unix/Linux environments
n
- Shell scripting and automation.
n
- System monitoring and performance tuning.
n
- Log analysis and troubleshooting.
n
- Process and service management.
n
- File system and storage administration.
n

n

Containerization & DevOps

n

n
- Deploy and support Sterling environments using:
n
- Docker
n
- Kubernetes
n
- OpenShift
n
- Automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines.
n
- Support Infrastructure as Code initiatives.
n

n

Security Administration

n

n
- Manage SSL certificates and certificate renewals.
n
- Configure TLS, SSH, and secure communication protocols.
n
- Support vulnerability remediation and security compliance requirements.
n
- Manage PGP encryption and key rotations.
n

n

Production Support

n

n
- Monitor Sterling environments proactively.
n
- Troubleshoot system, infrastructure, and connectivity issues.
n
- Support trading partner connectivity issues related to platform infrastructure.
n
- Participate in on-call production support when required.
n

n

Required Technical Skills

IBM Sterling Technologies

n

n
- 7+ years of IBM Sterling B2B Integrator administration experience.
n
- 5+ years of IBM Sterling File Gateway administration experience.
n
- Experience with:

- IBM Global Mailbox (preferred)

- Connect:Direct (preferred)

Cloud & Infrastructure

- AWS, Azure, or GCP experience.
