About the Role:

We are looking for a Technical Writer / Product Documentation Specialist to join our team and help create and maintain clear, accurate, and user-friendly product documentation.The role involves working closely with Product, Development, QA, and Support teams to understand product functionality, UI changes, new features, enhancements, and workflows, and convert this information into comprehensive help documentation.

This role will be particularly important as we undergo a major UI transformation of the product, requiring significant documentation updates and new content within defined timelines. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with technical information, reviewing development stories, understanding application workflows, coordinating with technical teams, and using AI powered tools to improve documentation quality and efficiency.

Role Summary :





This position is ideal for a technically inclined writer who enjoys learning software products, collaborating with engineering and QA teams, and turning complex product functionality into clear, practical user documentation. Candidates who combine strong English communication skills with technical curiosity, attention to detail, and effective use of AI-assisted tools are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review TFS/Azure DevOps stories, requirements, acceptance criteria, and technical details to understand new features and product changes.
- Analyze existing and newly developed product functionality and understand end-to-end user workflows.
- Work closely with developers, QA/testers, product teams, and support teams to clarify functionality and documentation requirements.
- Participate in discussions, demonstrations, and walkthroughs with developers and testers to understand how features work in the actual product.
- Create and update product help files, user guides, feature documentation, configuration guides, and workflow documentation.
- Document new features and UI changes with clear, structured, and easy-to-understand explanations.
- Review the application UI and ensure documentation accurately reflects the latest screens, fields, buttons, options, workflows, and terminology.
- Identify gaps or inconsistencies between product functionality and existing documentation and coordinate with relevant teams for clarification.
- Document configuration options,



prerequisites, permissions, limitations, dependencies, and expected behavior where applicable.
- Update existing documentation whenever product functionality, workflows, or UI elements change.
- Maintain consistency in terminology, formatting, structure, screenshots, and documentation standards across the product.
- Coordinate documentation updates with product releases and ensure documentation is completed within required timelines.
- Upload and publish completed documentation to the product/help system as required.

Required Skills:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Excellent technical writing and documentation skills.
- Ability to understand software functionality and explain it in simple, user-friendly language.
- Experience working with software products, SaaS applications, or technical platforms.
- Ability to read and understand user stories, requirements, acceptance criteria, and technical discussions.
- Ability to work effectively with developers and QA/testers to understand functionality and validate documentation.
- Good understanding of software development and testing processes.
- Robust attention to detail, particularly when documenting UI elements, workflows, configurations, and system behavior.
- Familiarity with TFS/Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar work-management tools.
- Experience with documentation/help-authoring tools or knowledge bases.
- Experience with screenshots, screen annotation, flow diagrams, and other visual documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and similar productivity tools.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or equivalent tools.
