Role Description The Technical Manager – DFT role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru South. This role involves leading Design-for-Test (DFT) activities, including planning, architecture definition, insertion, pattern generation, and debug for complex SoCs and ASICs.

The Technical

Manager will oversee project execution, coordinate with cross-functional teams (design, verification, physical design), and ensure DFT deliverables meet quality, coverage, and schedule requirements. Daily responsibilities include providing technical guidance to the DFT team, reviewing implementation and test plans, troubleshooting production and lab issues, and aligning solutions with customer specifications. The role also requires stakeholder communication, documentation of methodologies and best practices, and contribution to internal process improvements and R&D; initiatives in DFT.





Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex DFT and test-related issues.
- Experience in team management, including mentoring, workload planning, and performance feedback for engineering teams.
- Background in technical support and cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to interface effectively with design, verification, and test engineering groups.
- Involvement in research and development (R&D;) activities, including methodology enhancement, tool evaluation, and adoption of emerging DFT techniques.
- Proven project management skills, including scope definition, scheduling, risk management, and delivery tracking for multiple concurrent projects.
- Deep expertise in DFT concepts such as scan insertion, MBIST, LBIST, boundary scan, ATPG, fault coverage analysis, and silicon debug.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard EDA tools for DFT and test (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor/Siemens tools) and familiarity with scripting languages (such as Python, Perl, or TCL).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, VLSI, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly to internal teams and external customers.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru South
