Technical Manager Key Responsibilities

1. Overall Technical Operations

- Manage and supervise all technical/engineering operations at the facility.

- Ensure smooth functioning of Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, DG, Fire &
- Life Safety, BMS, and other MEP systems.

1. Team Management

- Lead and manage Shift Engineers, Technicians, Supervisors, and other technical staff.

- Allocate duties, prepare shift schedules, and monitor team performance.

- Conduct training and skill development programs.

1. Preventive &
- Breakdown Maintenance

- Plan and monitor preventive maintenance schedules.

- Ensure timely resolution of equipment breakdowns and technical complaints.

- Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions.

1. Electrical System Management

- Monitor HT/LT systems, transformers, DG sets, UPS, batteries, APFC panels, electrical panels, etc.

- Ensure statutory electrical compliance and safe operation of electrical systems.

- Monitor power consumption and identify opportunities for energy savings.

1. HVAC &
- MEP Management

- Supervise HVAC equipment such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, cooling towers, and ventilation systems.

- Monitor plumbing, water supply, sewage/STP, fire-fighting, and other MEP services.

1. Compliance &
- Safety

- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, safety standards, and client requirements.

- Maintain required licenses, certificates, inspection reports, and technical documentation.





- Ensure secure working practices and conduct regular safety inspections.

1. Vendor &
- AMC Management

- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for AMC, repairs, servicing, and project works.

- Monitor vendor performance and verify service reports and work completion.

1. Client Coordination

- Coordinate with clients, facility managers, and management regarding technical issues.

- Attend technical meetings and provide regular operational reports.

- Handle escalations and ensure timely closure of complaints.

1. Budget &
- Cost Control

- Prepare technical budgets and control maintenance expenses.

- Monitor spare-parts consumption and inventory.

- Identify cost-saving and energy-saving opportunities.

1. Reports &
- Documentation

- Maintain equipment history, preventive maintenance records, breakdown reports, energy reports, and statutory documents.

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly technical performance reports.

1. Projects &
- Upgrades

- Coordinate technical projects, equipment installation, modification, and commissioning.

- Review technical drawings, specifications, and contractor work.

1. Emergency Management

- Lead the technical team during electrical failures, DG failures, HVAC breakdowns, fire emergencies, and other critical situations.

- Ensure emergency systems are tested and maintained regularly.Role & responsibilities
