Summary

UST is looking for an Analog Design Engineer with strong expertise in Analog and IO circuit design for advanced ASIC/VLSI products.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Analog Design Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and validation of high-performance analog and IO circuits. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in analog circuit design, simulation, and analysis, with the ability to solve complex design challenges in advanced semiconductor technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop Analog and IO circuits for ASIC/VLSI products
- Perform circuit design, simulation, verification, and optimization using industry-standard EDA tools
- Conduct transistor-level design and analysis for performance, power, and reliability targets
- Develop and validate analog building blocks and IO interfaces across process, voltage, and temperature corners
- Perform pre-layout and post-layout simulations using Hspice and Spectre
- Analyze circuit behavior and debug complex analog design issues
- Collaborate with layout engineers to ensure high-quality physical implementation
- Drive design reviews, documentation, and technical sign-offs
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including layout, verification, product engineering, and process teams
- Support silicon bring-up, characterization, and debug activities as needed

Required Qualifications





- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 7-15 years of experience in Analog and IO Design within ASIC/VLSI environments
- Strong expertise in transistor-level analog circuit design and analysis
- Proficiency with Hspice and Spectre simulation tools
- Robust understanding of analog design fundamentals and circuit behavior
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills in Analog/IO design
- Experience in circuit performance optimization across PVT conditions
- Ability to independently drive design activities from specification to validation
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with advanced process nodes and FinFET technologies
- Knowledge of IO architectures, ESD protection, and reliability requirements
- Experience in designing blocks such as LDOs, Bandgaps, Oscillators, References, PLL support circuits, or high-speed IOs
- Familiarity with layout-aware design methodologies and post-layout optimization
- Exposure to silicon validation and characterization activities
- Scripting knowledge in Python, Perl, or Tcl is a plus
