Certification: Salesforce Certified System Architect or Application Architect
Work Model and Location: Hybrid – India | Office presence as required for team collaboration, customer meetings, and business needs.
About the Role
We are looking for a Technical Lead Architect – Salesforce who can operate at the intersection of architecture, engineering, delivery, customers, and business growth.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role. You will lead and technically own Salesforce projects from solution discovery and architecture through implementation and delivery. You will work directly with customers, guide engineering teams, resolve complex technical challenges, support pre-sales and solutioning, and help identify opportunities to expand the value we deliver to customers.
The ideal candidate is not just a Salesforce expert. You should understand how a customer’s business works, translate business problems into practical technology solutions, evaluate trade-offs, and lead teams to deliver those solutions successfully.
What You'll Do
Technical Architecture & Solutioning
- Lead the architecture and technical delivery of complex Salesforce implementations.
- Translate business requirements and customer problems into scalable, maintainable Salesforce solutions.
- Evaluate multiple solution approaches and clearly communicate architecture, trade-offs, risks, and recommendations.
- Own technical decisions across data model, automation, security, integrations, UI, reporting, and platform architecture.
- Create and review technical documentation including BRDs, FRDs, TDDs, solution designs, architecture diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Lead architecture discussions, solution calls, technical workshops, and customer presentations.
- Act as the technical escalation point for complex implementation and production issues.
- Stay hands-on and get into the implementation when required, particularly during ground-zero architecture, POCs, complex technical challenges, and critical delivery situations.
Salesforce Technical Expertise Strong hands-on knowledge across:
- Salesforce data model, objects, relationships, record types, schema design, validations, formulas, and security.
- Flow automation and Lightning App Builder.
- Lightning Record Pages, Dynamic Forms, Lightning Apps and UI configuration.
- Reports and Dashboards.
- Email and Salesforce automation capabilities.
- Apex, triggers, test classes, synchronous and asynchronous processing.
- Platform Events and Pub/Sub architecture.
- LWC, Aura, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
- Apex and Flow debugging and performance troubleshooting.
- REST and SOAP API integrations.
- API callouts, response handling, data mapping, inbound and outbound integrations.
- Authentication and authorization.
- Named Credentials, External Credentials and Auth Providers.
Service Cloud Strong understanding of Service Cloud and customer service architecture, including:
- Case management and support processes.
- Entitlement and SLAs
- Service Cloud configuration and support settings.
- Omni-Channel.
- Web Chat / digital engagement setup.
- Service automation and agent experience.
Experience Cloud / PRM Hands-on experience with Experience Cloud, including:
- Customer and Partner/PRM portals.
- Guest and authenticated user experiences.
- Experience Cloud security and permissions.
- Domain mapping and redirection.
- Page variations.
- Themes and layouts.
- Content layouts and portal configuration.
Sales Cloud
Working knowledge of
- Leads and Opportunities.
- Products and Quotes.
- Forecasting.
- Standard Sales Cloud processes and architecture.
Agentforce, AI & Data Cloud Strong understanding and hands-on exposure to modern Salesforce AI capabilities, including:
- Agentforce for Employee.
- Agentforce Service Agent
- Lead nurturing / SDR agent use cases.
- Einstein for Service.
- Prompt engineering and Prompt Templates.
- AI use cases such as case management, case summarization, billing support, knowledge and FAQ experiences.
- Data Cloud architecture and configuration.
- CRM data streaming.
- Structured and unstructured data ingestion.
- Custom ingestion using connectors such as website crawlers and sitemap-based ingestion.
- Data Cloud retrievers and grounding concepts.
- Understanding of Flex, data consumption, and the implications of Data Cloud usage and architecture.
The candidate should understand not only how to configure these technologies, but when and why they should be used. Business & Customer Leadership
- Understand the customer's business, operating model, processes, and objectives—not just their Salesforce requirements.
- Identify the underlying business problem before proposing a technical solution.
- Lead customer discovery and solution discussions.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Build strong relationships with customer technical and business stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted technical advisor and help customers define their Salesforce and technology roadmap.
- Participate in executive-level and high-level solution discussions when required.
- Present architecture, recommendations, roadmaps, and technical proposals with confidence.
Delivery & Team Leadership
- Lead technical delivery across Salesforce projects and workstreams.
- Work effectively with developers, PMs, QAs, Solution Architects, Technical Architects, and other cross-functional teams, including globally distributed teams.
- Provide technical direction and unblock teams when they face complex implementation or architecture challenges.
- Review technical approaches, designs, and implementations.
- Mentor developers and help grow the technical capabilities of the team.
- Establish and promote Salesforce development and architecture best practices.
- Ensure technical solutions are delivered within agreed scope, timeline, quality, and budget.
- Be available during agreed working hours for planned customer and internal technical discussions.
- Take ownership of technical outcomes rather than limiting responsibility to individual development tasks.
Pre-Sales, Growth & Customer Expansion
- Support sales and pre-sales teams with technical discovery, solutioning,
estimation, proposals, and presentations.
- Participate in RFPs, customer workshops, demos, solution calls, and technical evaluations.
- Help identify customer pain points and translate them into additional solution opportunities.
- Identify opportunities for upsell, cross-sell, and expansion based on customer needs.
- Contribute to customer roadmaps and long-term technology strategy.
- Partner with sales and delivery leadership to grow existing accounts.
- Bring technical insights and ideas that create new opportunities for the business.
Required Experience

- Salesforce Certified System Architect or Application Architect certification.
- Proven experience leading and delivering at least:
- 2 Service Cloud implementations
- 2 Experience Cloud / PRM implementation
- 1 Agentforce implementation/use case involving Employee Agent or Service Agent.
- 1 Data Cloud implementation/use case, including retrieval/grounding.
- 2 meaningful REST integration involving authentication/authorization, API callouts, response handling, data mapping, and inbound/outbound integration patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Named Credentials, External Credentials, and Auth Provider configuration.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and owning technical delivery.
- Proven customer-facing experience involving solution discussions, architecture, presentations, and technical decision-making.
Good to Have
- Experience implementing SSO solutions.
- Experience building custom REST resources.
- Advanced/custom Data Cloud ingestion use cases.
- Experience with MCPs and AI-agent integrations.
- Experience with advanced Agentforce implementations.
- Experience working across multiple Salesforce clouds and external platforms.
- Experience contributing to internal R&D;, accelerators, frameworks, or reusable IP.
- Solid understanding of how to use AI effectively in day-to-day engineering, architecture, delivery, and business activities.
What Success Looks Like In this role, you will be expected to:
- Lead and deliver complex Salesforce projects.
- Own architecture and technical decisions, not simply implement predefined designs.
- Lead and mentor teams and raise the technical quality of delivery.
- Be hands-on when needed, especially for complex problems and ground-zero solutioning.
- Own customer technical relationships and become a trusted advisor.
- Identify customer roadmaps and expansion opportunities.
- Support sales and pre-sales with strong technical solutioning.
- Bring ideas, initiatives, and improvements that contribute beyond individual project delivery.
- Work directly with leadership and take ownership of initiatives that improve our technology, delivery, customers, and business.
The person we're looking for You should be someone who can confidently move between:
Business Problem → Solution → Architecture → Customer → Team → Implementation → Delivery → Roadmap
You should be equally comfortable whiteboarding an architecture with a customer, debugging Apex with a developer, reviewing a solution with an architect, presenting to leadership, and helping sales shape the next opportunity.
This is a role for someone who wants to own outcomes, not just tasks.
