Purpose/Objective

The main purpose of this role is to assist with the scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and managing technical activities to ensure project accuracy and quality and delivering the project package timely.

He/she will also be responsible for the engineering and technical disciplines of ongoing projects and will establish inspection criteria for the proper implementation of all the elements of a project.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Assist the Project Manager in effective execution of the project activities to ensure that project is delivered within approved Budget & Schedule and in accordance with project Quality & HSE standards.

Conceptualize, Coordinate and deliver the scope of work, review of project specifications, engineering drawings & documents.

Coordinate and ensure the Preparation of RFQ packages, floating inquiries to the prospective bidders, evaluation of the bidders techno-commercial offers and preparation of technical bid evaluation & technical recommendations for finalizing the vendors Preparation of project execution plan & methodologies, project schedule, schematic drawings, preliminary layout plans in consultation with engineering teams, and external vendors Coordinate with client, consultant, contractors, vendors/ suppliers, Inspection agencies & Inter-departments such as business, engineering, procurement & contracts, construction, operations & maintenance involved in the project for smooth execution.

Break up of scope of work, estimation, planning and scheduling of project activities.

Co-ordinate various Value Engineering Exercises in order to reduce time and optimize costs.

Ensuring that optimum bill of materials is published to keep the cost in control.

Coordinate & discuss with discipline engineers & experts to ensure the engineering deliverables are issued & approved timely.





Monitoring the procurement activities.

Ensure timely ordering, manufacturing & delivery of project materials for construction work front.

Involve in identification, sourcing plan & management of long lead project items.

Monitoring, tracking, progress analyzing, expediating & follow up construction works for timely completion as per schedule.

Participate in meetings with contractor for resolution of the open issues.

Align with Project Management Team for any area of concerns that leads to critical activities and recommend corrective actions, recovery plan based on the availability of the resources.

Monitor, control & update project expenditure including verifying & checking of invoices & claims from contractors, suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured, properly recorded and maintained within the project budget.

Also doing the Trend Analysis wherever required.

Prepare presentations for various meetings.

Attend weekly & monthly review meetings.

Prepare & document the Minutes of Meeting and maintain the Minutes/ Action Logs.

Monitor and provide assistance along the Hookup, Commissioning and Start-Up activities.

Manage all project audit reports and ensure that all audit actions items are timely closed.

Provide assistance in the execution of all ‘project close-out’ activities & record the lessons learnt.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelors degree of Engineering in Any Specialization.

Mechanical, Civil & Electrical are preferable.

Candidate must have 5 to 12 years of experience in Project Management preferably in Offsites & Utility (OSBL) in Petrochemical Business
