About the Role

n

We are looking for a Chartered Accountant (CA) with strong experience in Project Finance, FP&A;, Financial Modelling, MIS, Cost Control and Commercial Finance to join our Solar EPC business.

n

The candidate will be responsible for evaluating the financial viability of solar projects, managing project-wise financial performance, cash flows, budgets, working capital and management reporting.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

1. Project Finance & Financial Modelling

n

n
- Prepare and review financial models for solar EPC and renewable-energy projects.
n
- Evaluate project CAPEX, OPEX, ROI, IRR, payback period and project profitability.
n
- Prepare project-wise cash-flow projections and funding requirements.
n
- Evaluate project financing requirements and coordinate with banks/financial institutions.
n
- Analyse commercial feasibility of new solar projects and business opportunities.
n

2. FP&A; and Management Reporting

n

n
- Prepare monthly MIS, P&L; analysis and management dashboards.
n
- Conduct Budget vs. Actual analysis and identify major variances.
n
- Prepare project-wise profitability and performance reports.
n
- Provide financial insights to management for strategic decision-making.
n
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning.
n

3. Project Cost & Commercial Control

n

n
- Monitor project CAPEX/OPEX against approved budgets.
n




- Analyse procurement and vendor commercial proposals.
n
- Review project costing and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
n
- Monitor project-wise margins, cost overruns and commercial leakages.
n
- Coordinate with Project, Procurement and Operations teams for financial control.
n

4. Working Capital & Cash Flow Management

n

n
- Monitor project-wise receivables, payables and cash flows.
n
- Prepare cash-flow forecasts and payment plans.
n
- Monitor customer outstanding and collection schedules.
n
- Ensure adequate working capital availability for ongoing projects.
n
- Identify bottlenecks affecting the working-capital cycle.
n

5. Accounting, Tax & Compliance

n

n
- Oversee accounting and financial closing activities.
n
- Review ledger scrutiny, provisions and financial statements.
n
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax and applicable statutory requirements.
n
- Coordinate with statutory, internal and tax auditors.
n
- Ensure proper accounting of CAPEX, CWIP, project costs and fixed assets.
n
- Support Ind AS / applicable accounting requirements.
n

6. Solar Industry Commercial Finance

n

The candidate should develop an understanding of:

- Solar EPC project economics

- Rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects

- CAPEX and OPEX structures

- PPA-based projects

- Open Access / Group Captive models
n
- Solar project revenue and billing

- Project financing

Qualification & Experience

Mandatory: Chartered Accountant (CA)

n

Experience: 4–8 years post-qualification experience in any of the following:

- FP&A; / Business Finance

- Strategic Finance

Preferred: Candidates with hands-on experience in solar project financial modelling, CAPEX evaluation, project financing, ROI/IRR analysis and commercial finance.
