Your Tasks –

Perform structural and durability CAE simulations for powertrain components, including preprocessing, meshing, load definition, analysis, and result interpretation using HyperWorks, Abaqus, and FEMFAT.

Validate and correlate simulation results, support design improvements, resolve modeling issues, and enhance simulation efficiency through automation and emerging technologies.

To ensure that you will-

- Ability to translate real world load cases—road inputs, powertrain loads, environmental loads—into simulation loads and boundary conditions.




- Support team members on modeling and simulation challenges. Correlate simulation models and set capability of methods using data from the field, rig testing and/or vehicle measurements.
- Automate simulation workflows for increased efficiency using scripting.
- Benchmark current state of the art and emerging trends in simulation like AI/ML.

Your qualification/ minimum requirements -

- 4-6 years of experience in structural and durability simulations, especially for powertrain components
- Master’s / bachelor's degree in solid mechanics, computational mechanics, mechanical engineering or equivalent (e.g., fatigue, dynamics, material mechanics).
- Extensive experience in CAE preprocessing: geometry clean up, meshing, contacts, and connections using HyperWorks, with simulations in Abaqus, and FEMFAT.
- Proficient in static, modal, random vibration, thermomechanical, and durability analyses.
- Experienced in meshing and model setup for sheet metal, plastics, castings, and forgings with solver compliant quality.
- Strong knowledge of defining loads, constraints, contacts, and connectors for a wide range of structural and durability analysis.
- Skilled in post processing and reporting of stress, strain, vibration, fatigue, and durability results & propose design improvement recommendations.
- Deep understanding of FE quality criteria and generating high quality meshes across analysis types.
- Expertise in resolving solver issues: convergence, contacts, modeling errors, and implausible results in Abaqus, and FEMFAT.
