Job Summary
He will be responsible for managing the hotel's purchasing, receiving, storage, inventory control, and issue of food, beverages, housekeeping supplies, engineering materials, guest supplies, and other operational items. The position ensures that all materials are received, stored, recorded, and issued accurately while maintaining proper stock levels and minimizing wastage, pilferage, and inventory losses.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the hotel stores and inventory.
- Receive and inspect goods delivered by approved suppliers.
- Verify quantity, quality, specifications, expiry dates, and condition of received materials.
- Match purchase orders, invoices, and Goods Received Notes (GRN) before accepting deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing stock.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, categorization, and identification of inventory items.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO principles wherever applicable, particularly for food, beverages, and perishable items.
- Maintain appropriate minimum and maximum stock levels.
- Monitor stock movement and identify slow-moving, fast-moving, damaged, expired, and obsolete items.
- Issue materials to departments only against authorized requisitions.
- Maintain proper documentation for all stock issues and transfers.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, shortages, damages, and wastage.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Accounts, Kitchen, F&B;, Housekeeping, and other departments.
- Monitor food, beverage, housekeeping, and general operating supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, safety, and pest-control standards in all store areas.
- Ensure that chemicals and hazardous materials are stored safely according to hotel procedures.
- Monitor expiry dates and arrange timely utilization or disposal of expired items as per company policy.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
- Maintain stock registers, bin cards, inventory records, and system entries.
- Coordinate with suppliers regarding shortages, damaged goods, incorrect deliveries, and replacements.
- Assist in vendor evaluation and provide information regarding product quality and delivery performance.
- Maintain proper security and access control for all store areas.
- Ensure that store keys and restricted inventory are properly controlled.
- Reduce wastage, pilferage, overstocking, and unnecessary purchases.
- Participate in internal and external inventory audits.
- Ensure compliance with hotel policies and standard operating procedures.
- Perform other inventory and store-related duties assigned by management.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree/diploma in Hotel Management.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in hotel stores, inventory, procurement, or hospitality operations.
- Experience in a hotel or hospitality workplace is preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems, ERP, POS, or hotel management software is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and inventory reporting.

Reporting Structure
Reports To: General Manager depending on the hotel's organizational structure.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
