Oasis Luminaires is a lighting manufacturing company specializing in LED lighting solutions for commercial, industrial, architectural and specialized applications.
We are looking for a responsible and experienced Store Manager to manage our raw-material, component and finished-goods inventory and ensure accurate, effective and timely movement of materials throughout the organization.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing stores or warehouses within a manufacturing workplace, preferably in electrical, electronics, lighting, engineering or similar industries.
Key Responsibilities1. Overall Store Management
- Manage day-to-day operations of the company's stores/warehouse.
- Maintain organized and systematic storage of raw materials, components, consumables and finished products.
- Establish appropriate storage locations and bin systems.
- Ensure every material has a clearly identifiable location and stock code.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and warehouse discipline.
- Ensure efficient utilization of available storage space.
1. Material Receiving
- Receive incoming materials against Purchase Orders and delivery documents.
- Verify quantities received.
- Check material identification, packaging and visible condition.
- Coordinate with Quality/Production for inspection where required.
- Prepare or coordinate GRN/inward documentation.
- Record shortages, excess quantities or damaged materials.
- Ensure discrepancies are immediately reported to Procurement and Management.
- Ensure rejected materials are properly segregated and identified.
1. Inventory Management
Maintain accurate inventory of:
- LED modules
- LED drivers
- PCBs
- Aluminium profiles
- Aluminium housings
- Diffusers/lenses
- Electrical components
- Wires and connectors
- Fasteners/hardware
- Packaging materials
- Consumables
- Finished lighting products
- Project-specific materials
- Other raw materials and components
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain accurate stock records.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels.
- Identify low-stock items.
- Identify excess and slow-moving inventory.
- Identify obsolete or dead stock.
- Ensure proper material identification.
- Prevent unauthorized stock movement.
- Maintain inventory accuracy between physical stock and ERP/system records.
1. Material Issuance to Production
- Issue materials to Production against approved material requests/requisitions.
- Ensure correct quantity and specification are issued.
- Record all material issues accurately.
- Track material movement between stores and production.
- Prevent unauthorized or undocumented material withdrawals.
- Coordinate with Production regarding daily and upcoming material requirements.
- Highlight material shortages before they affect production.
1. Stock Control
- Establish systematic bin/location management.
- Implement appropriate FIFO practices where applicable.
- Conduct regular cycle counts.
- Conduct periodic physical inventory counts.
- Reconcile physical stock against system stock.
- Investigate discrepancies and identify root causes.
- Maintain stock adjustment records with appropriate approvals.
- Track damaged, rejected and unusable materials separately.
1. Finished Goods Management
- Receive completed products from Production.
- Ensure finished products are properly identified and stored.
- Maintain finished-goods inventory.
- Separate products by customer/project/order where required.
- Ensure finished goods are protected from damage.
- Coordinate with Sales/Dispatch for customer shipments.
- Verify quantities before dispatch.
- Maintain dispatch documentation.
1. Project-Specific Inventory
Oasis frequently works on customized and project-based lighting requirements.
The Store Manager will
- Maintain clear identification of project-specific materials.
- Segregate customer/project materials when required.
- Ensure project materials are not inadvertently used for other orders.
- Track materials issued and remaining against projects.
- Coordinate with Production and Project/Sales teams regarding project inventory.
- Maintain visibility of unused materials after project completion.
Provide timely information to Procurement so purchasing decisions are based on actual stock levels.
1. Coordination With Procurement
The Store Manager will provide Procurement with accurate information regarding:
- Current physical stock
- Consumption
- Low-stock items
- Material shortages
- Pending incoming materials
- Excess inventory
- Slow-moving materials
- Damaged/rejected materials
