Store Executive / Store In-Charge – Fresh Vegetables

Reporting To: Owner / Operations Manager

About the Role

We are looking for a responsible, honest, and customer-friendly Store Executive / Store In-Charge to independently manage our fresh vegetable retail store in Gota, Ahmedabad.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the complete day-to-day operation of the store, including customer service, vegetable quality, stock management, billing, store cleanliness, sales, and wastage control.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

- Open and prepare the store for business.
- Maintain proper product display and store organization.
- Ensure the store remains clean and hygienic throughout the day.
- Manage day-to-day store operations independently.
- Ensure all products are properly displayed and priced.

Vegetable Quality

- Check the quality and freshness of incoming vegetables.
- Identify damaged, rotten, or unsellable products.
- Rotate stock properly to minimize wastage.
- Maintain proper handling and storage of vegetables.
- Ensure customers receive fresh and positive-quality products.

Customer Service

- Welcome and assist customers.
- Weigh, pack, and provide products accurately.
- Handle customer questions and basic complaints professionally.
- Maintain a friendly and positive customer experience.
- Encourage repeat customers through good service.

Billing & Payments

- Operate POS/billing system.
- Handle cash, UPI, and card payments.
- Ensure correct weighing and billing.
- Maintain daily payment records.
- Complete end-of-day cash/payment reconciliation.

Stock Management

- Receive and check incoming stock.
- Maintain basic stock records.




- Monitor fast-moving and slow-moving products.
- Inform management about products requiring replenishment.
- Maintain accurate stock and wastage records.

Sales & Wastage

- Achieve daily/monthly sales targets.
- Promote available products and offers.
- Monitor unsold and slow-moving vegetables.
- Minimize product wastage.
- Maintain daily wastage records.

Candidate Requirements
- 12th pass minimum; graduate preferred.
- 1–2 years of retail/grocery/supermarket/FMCG/fresh-produce experience preferred.
- Basic computer/POS knowledge.
- Basic calculation and cash-handling skills.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Should be comfortable working independently.
- Honest, punctual, responsible, and disciplined.
- Should be comfortable working in a retail environment for extended operating hours.

- Stock accuracy
- Product freshness

- Attendance and punctuality

Working Hours Store Operating Hours: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Actual employee working schedule, weekly off, rest/meal breaks and any applicable overtime will be defined by management in accordance with applicable employment requirements.

Compensation

₹15,000 – ₹17,000/month + Performance Incentive

Final salary will depend on experience and suitability.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the store, work honestly, interact well with customers, maintain vegetable quality, control wastage, and keep accurate daily records.

This is a hands-on retail role and is suitable for someone who enjoys managing a store independently.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
