Patient Care

- Receive and assess patients on admission and during duty hours.

- Monitor vital signs such as BP, pulse, temperature, SpO₂ and respiratory rate.

- Provide routine nursing care according to the doctor’s orders and nursing care plan.

- Assist patients with hygiene, feeding, mobility and other activities as required.

- Maintain patient comfort, safety and dignity at all times.

- Observe and promptly report any change in the patient’s condition to the duty doctor/nursing in-charge.

Medication Administration

- Administer medicines strictly as prescribed by the doctor.

- Follow the right patient, right medicine, right dose, right route, right time and right documentation principles.

- Check medicine name, expiry date, dosage and route before administration.

- Record all administered medications properly.

- Report medication errors or adverse reactions immediately.

Doctor’s Orders &

- Treatment

- Carry out prescribed treatments and nursing procedures.

- Assist doctors during examination, procedures and emergency care.

- Prepare patients for investigations, surgery and procedures.

- Follow up investigation reports and communicate abnormal findings to the concerned doctor.

- Maintain proper coordination with doctors and other departments.

Documentation &

- Records

- Maintain accurate nursing notes and patient records.

- Record vital signs, medication administration, intake/output and other required observations.

- Maintain nursing handover records.

- Complete admission, transfer and discharge documentation.

- Ensure all entries are legible, accurate, dated and signed.

Infection Control

- Follow hospital infection-control policies.





- Perform hand hygiene at appropriate times.

- Use PPE appropriately.

- Maintain aseptic technique during procedures.

- Segregate biomedical waste according to hospital guidelines.

- Ensure cleanliness and disinfection of nursing equipment.

Emergency &

- Safety

- Respond immediately to medical emergencies.

- Assist in CPR and emergency procedures as trained.

- Ensure emergency equipment and crash cart are available and ready for use.

- Report patient falls, injuries, medication errors and other incidents immediately.

- Follow hospital fire and disaster-management procedures.

Ward &

- Equipment Management

- Keep the nursing station and patient-care areas organized.

- Check availability of medicines, consumables and emergency supplies.

- Maintain proper handling and cleaning of nursing equipment.

- Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the nursing in-charge.

- Avoid unnecessary wastage of hospital supplies.

Patient &

- Attendant Communication

- Communicate politely and professionally with patients and attendants.

- Explain routine nursing procedures appropriately.

- Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.

- Address routine patient concerns and escalate complaints to the appropriate authority.





- Educate patients and attendants regarding basic care, medication and discharge instructions as directed.

Shift Handover

- Provide complete and accurate handover to the incoming nurse.

- Highlight critical patients, pending investigations, medications, procedures and special instructions.

- Ensure no key patient information is missed during shift change.

Professional Responsibilities

- Maintain punctuality, discipline and proper uniform.

- Follow hospital policies, SOPs and nursing protocols.

- Maintain professional ethics and patient confidentiality.

- Attend mandatory training, meetings and continuing education programmes.

- Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, technicians, housekeeping and other hospital departments.

- NABH / Quality Responsibilities

- Follow applicable NABH standards and hospital SOPs.

- Participate in audits, quality-improvement activities and training programmes.

- Maintain required nursing registers and checklists.

- Ensure proper identification of patients before medication, procedures and investigations.

- Follow patient-safety practices and incident-reporting procedures.

Discharge &

- Follow-up

- Prepare the patient for discharge as instructed.

- Explain medication, diet, wound care, follow-up appointments and other instructions as authorized.

- Ensure discharge documents and nursing records are completed.

- Coordinate with billing, pharmacy and other departments when required.

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
