Overview An expected role of a Sr.

Project

Engineer is to act as the technical lead and coordinator for engineering projects, ensuring deliverables meet product company standards, timelines, and quality expectations. This role bridges the remote engineering team and the on-site product company stakeholders.

Mission To provide value added design activities based on the project or task assigned including componentsub-system design, BOM changesECNs and managing projects ensuring quality, on time delivery in full and efficiency with an objective of achieving customer satisfaction according to the set procedures and guidelines as applicable complying to all the required company policies and values.

- Spearheading the defined project/product development goals of Product company and collaborate with Epiroc Product companies for the projects & for consistent engagement.
- Work Independently on product engineering activities such as NPD, Sustenance, VAVE &
- Cost reduction projects.
- Coordinate all technical questions regarding the product.
- Be the owner of the CPI (Continuous Product Improvement) list for concerned Products
- Responsible value addition, improvement activity of existing product by reviewing technical feasibility.
- Be responsible for large or complex CPI cases
- Work on NPD project & takes overall responsibility for the product sustenance after proto build.
- Maintain Project Technical deliverables & track live in status of project time to time.
- Adherence to tools/guidelines with extra focus on technical data’s,
- Take responsibility in updating the Workload forecast &
- Task priority status weekly

- Integration of aggregates onto vehicle/machine.
- Able to perform and review the Basic Engineering and Machine load calculations
- Basic Knowledge on Hydrulic components
- Work on PDM/PLM systems associated with Engineering release processes
- Analyse the field issues and offer suitable solutions to fix the issue.
- Interact with other team within R&D; team (Hydraulics,Powertrain,Electrical &
- FEA) as needed.
- PreparationQuality checking of 2D drawings & 3d Models &
- Perform internal reviews
- Performingchecking BOM changes and ECNs
- Value addition and suggestions for improvements as applicable
- Interaction with customers and colleagues
- Addressing the customer queries and handling customer feedback
- Onsite support during proto-typing and testing
- Task Management
- Receiving and studying the job
- Planning and tracking
- Closing the job after completion

- - Analyzing the customer feedback

- Set an example to junior engineers in the team & coach them as required.
- Reporting to the ManagerProject Manager in a timely and efficient manner
- Complying to company policies and follow company values and business code of practice.

Education

- BE / B. Tech / Masters –
- Mechanical/Automobile Engineering/Mechatronics/Mining

Experience

- 7-10 yrs. of experience –
- Mining / Earth moving equipment /off road vehicles /Automobiles /Industrial automation

Knowledge





- Good knowledge of design and release process.
- Basic Knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Good knowledge on CAD tool / GD&T;/ PLM system
- Knowledge on design standards &
- Welding
- Heavy machinery product knowledge with focus on components and subsystems design
