Role & responsibilities

1. Maintenance Operations

- Plan, execute, and monitor preventive and breakdown maintenance activities for hospital facilities and equipment.
- Ensure uninterrupted functioning of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, medical gas pipeline systems, elevators, and other utility services.
- Coordinate and supervise repair works for hospital buildings, patient rooms, OTs, ICUs, and support areas.
- Monitor maintenance schedules and ensure timely completion of all assigned tasks.

1. Facility Management

- Maintain hospital infrastructure in compliance with safety, statutory, and accreditation requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of hospital premises and identify areas requiring repair or improvement.
- Ensure proper upkeep of civil, electrical, mechanical, and utility systems.

1. Vendor & Contractor Management

- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for maintenance activities.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Verify work completion and certify invoices related to maintenance contracts.

1. Equipment & Utilities Management

- Ensure optimal operation of generators, transformers, UPS systems, HVAC plants, compressors, boilers, water treatment plants,



and sewage treatment plants.
- Monitor utility consumption and implement energy conservation initiatives.
- Maintain records of equipment history, breakdown reports, and maintenance schedules.

1. Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with hospital safety protocols, electrical safety standards, fire safety regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Support NABH, Fire Safety, Pollution Control, Electrical Inspectorate, and other regulatory audits.
- Participate in emergency response and disaster management activities.

1. Budget & Cost Control

- Assist in preparing annual maintenance budgets.
- Monitor repair and maintenance expenses and recommend cost optimization measures.
- Control inventory of maintenance spare parts and consumables.

1. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain maintenance logs, equipment records, AMC/CMC documentation, and compliance reports.
- Prepare monthly maintenance performance reports, breakdown analysis, and corrective action plans.
- Ensure accurate record keeping for audit and accreditation purposes.
